The new musical from Drew Gasparini (Smash; Broadway’s The Karate Kid, Skittles Commercial: The Broadway Musical, It’s Kind of a Funny Story) will have its West End concert performance on the 28th April.

Rehearsal images have now been released for the upcoming concert performance of We Aren’t Kids Anymore, making its West End debut at the Savoy Theatre next week.
The cast for this West End concert performance includes: Nigel Harman,Cassius Hackforth, Melanie La Barrie, Dylan Mulvaney, Aimie Atkinson and Jenna Lee-James. Jeevan Braich will join as a special guest alongside Andrew Kober and Tony Bayliss.

Following a nationwide competition that invited aspiring performers to submit self-tapes in pursuit of a dream, winners Katie Leach and Sally Forster will share the stage for this extraordinary premiere. With over 1,000 submissions from across the UK, the competition has offered undiscovered talent to step into the spotlight. Katie Leach will take to the Savoy Theatre stage during the matinee performance, meanwhile Newcastle-based mother and vocal coach Sally Forster will deliver her debut during the evening show.

Originally an autobiographical tale, WE AREN’T KIDS ANYMORE has evolved into a poignant exploration of the complex, yet fundamentally universal, experience of navigating our path through life, and all the emotional multiplicity it brings; the highest joys, the deepest regrets, and the fleeting moments of pride – life is often a series of guesses, punctuated by key moments of feeling as we negotiate its inevitable failures and successes.

This performance follows a workshop in June 2024 which marked the first stage presentation of Gasparini’s viral concept album We Aren’t Kids Anymore. Gasparini is recognised for his music inSmash, as well as the scores for Broadway musicals;The Karate Kid, SkittlesCommercial: The Broadway Musical and It’s Kind of a Funny Story.
As well as this musical itself, the second act of the show will be showcasing Gasparini in concert.Joined by the cast and special invited guests, Gasparini will present a selection of his work.
The production is directed by Jake Smith, musical supervision and direction by Lauren Hopkinson, set and costume design by Mona Camille, lighting design by Zoe Spurr and sound design by Paul Gatehouse.
