You know the sculpture. Now hear her story.
She inspired a masterpiece… then vanished into the streets of 19th century Paris. Little Dancer is a new musical based on the story of Marie van Goethem, the girl who posed for impressionist Edgar Degas and became the heart of one of the most celebrated sculptures in history. This evocative original show is a bold exploration of the indomitable spirit of a young woman in a man’s world.
Heading to London following runs in Washington D.C. and Seattle, this one night only performance of the musical is set to star Olivier Award® nominee Tiler Peck, principal dancer with the New York Ballet, reprising her role as Young Marie van Goethem. She will be joined by Julian Ovenden as Edgar Degas and Laura Pitt- Pulford as Adult Marie.
Further casting and creative team have yet to be announced.
