NEWS: Almeida Theatre Announces Complete Casting for Alice Birch’s Romans: a Novel

Complete casting has now been confirmed for the Almeida’s production of ‘Romans’, the world premiere of Alice Birch’s play directed by Sam Prtichard.

Joining the previously announced Kyle Soller will be: Declan Conlon, Yanexi Enriquez, Olivier Huband, Oliver Johnstone, Jerry Killick, Adelle Leonce, Agnes O’Casey and Stuart Thompson.

He is a motherless child. A bullied schoolboy. An adventurer scaling mountains. A coloniser of land, of people. Brother. Father. Soldier. Cult leader. He is sipping champagne at his book launch. He is up by 4am for weights, cardio, ice bath. He is recording a podcast. He is living as a badger.

The play marks Birch’s Almeida debut and forms part of Rupert Goold’s final season as Artistic Director. Her previous credits including Anatomy of a Suicide at the Royal Court, [BLANK] at the Donmar Warehouse and the National Theatre adaptation of The House of Bernarda Alba. 

Meanwhile, the creative team includes: set and costume designer Merle Hensel, lighting designer Lee Curran, sound designer Benjamin Grant , composer Jasmin Kent Rodgman, movement director Hannes Langolf, casting director Amy Ball and assistant director Neetu Singh.
