NEWS: Full Cast & Creative Team Announced for Get Down Tonight – The Official KC and the Sunshine Band Musical

GRAMMY winners KC and The Sunshine Band and producers have announced the full cast and creative team for Get Down Tonight, which will have its press night on the 30th September.

The cast will include: Ross Harmon (Shucked, Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre) portraying the real-life Harry Wayne Casey (KC) alongside Adam Taylor as Orly (Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club, Playhouse Theatre). Paige Fenlon as Dee (Pretty Woman, Piccadilly Theatre) and Annabelle Terry as Gina (Scissorhandz, Southwark Playhouse Elephant) return following the show’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe run. Ensemble members include Aaron Archer (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, UK & Ireland Tour), Eve Drysdale (Fame the Musical, European Tour), Rachael Kendall Brown (Pretty Woman, UK & Ireland Tour) and Finley Oliver, making his professional debut. 

Based on the early life of singer, songwriter, producer and musician Harry Wayne Casey (KC) and set against the vibrant backdrop of 1970s Miami, this feel-good show celebrates the friendships, love and music that defined a generation. It features hit songs such as “Give It Up”, “That’s The Way (I Like It)” and “Get Down Tonight.”

The musical features a book by J. F. Lawton and is directed and choreographed by Lisa Stevens. Meanwhile, Musical Supervision, Orchestrations and Arrangements is by Mark Crossland, Set Design by Bretta Gerecke, Costumes Based on Original Designs by Tom Rogers, Lighting Design by Jai Morjaria and Sound Design by Chris Whybrow.
