Here’s a guide to some of the shows that you can enjoy at your local theatres next year…

Legally Blonde: it has been recently announced that a new production of the musical is set to embark on a UK tour next year, opening at Leicester’s Curve Theatre on the 7th February. Starring Amber Davies as Elle herself (with further casting to be announced, the production based on the film is set to be directed by Nikolai Foster. Tickets are on sale now.
Annie the Musical: opening at the new Wimbledon Theatre on the 23rd May, this new UK tour of the classic musical will visit venues across the country throughout the year. Casting has yet to be announced…so watch this space!

The Choir of Man: it has been confirmed that the musical will head out on its first UK tour next year, once it has completed its West End run. The tour is set to open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on the 14th March 2026. The show features hits from artists such as Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Guns & Roses, Avicii and Katy Perry.
Operation Mincemeat: this musical telling the true story of a mission in World War II is set to open in Salford on the 16th February. Created by SplitLip, the Olivier Award winning musical was originally commissioned by New Diorama Theatre and co-commissioned by the Lowry.

Mean Girls: ‘get in loser’ the musical adaptation of the film is heading out on tour, opening at the Manchester Opera House on the 23rd February. Initial casting for the show is set to include: Emily Lane will star as Cady Heron, alongside Vivian Panka as Regina George, Sophie Pourret as Karen Smith, Georgie Buckland as Janis Sarkisian, Max Gill as Damian Hubbard, Karim Zeroual as Kevin Ganatra and Joshua Elmore as Mr Duvall. The show includes the songs ‘World Burn’ and ‘I’d Rather Be Me’.
Waitress: there was plenty of love for this musical when it originally played in the West End, so fans will be thrilled that it will be embarking on a UK tour from the 28th March 2026. Featuring a score by Sara Bareilles, the musical follows the story of Jenna a waitress and expert baker who is searching for some happiness in her life. This touring production is set to star Carrie Hope Fletcher (at certain venues) as Jenna, with further casting to be confirmed.

Mrs. Doubtfire the Musical: following a successful run in the West End, this musical is set to tour across the country from the 13th August next year. Based on the beloved film starring Robin Williams, the musical follows the story of Daniel Hillard who would do anything for his children. In the wake of a messy divorce and losing custody of them, Daniel creates and alter ego who might teach him more than he ever expected to. The touring production will see Gabriel Vick reprising his role as Daniel, with further casting yet to be announced.
Priscilla Queen of the Desert: filled with sparkle, friendship and classic songs, this musical adaptation based on the 1994 film is heading back out on tour once again from February 2026.
