NEWS: Full Casting Confirmed for King’s Head Theatre’s Production of Jack & the Beanstalk

King’s Head Theatre & James Quaife Productions has announced casting for their production of Jack & the Beanstalk for a bit of family fun this Christmas.

The cast will be led by Victoria Scone as Dame Trott, Elliott Baker-Costello as Jack and Mia Ito Smith as Fairy Fullobeans. They will be joined by Pavanveer Sagoo as Pat the Cow and Joseph Lukehurst as villain Nightshade.

Talking about joining the cast Victoria Scone said: “I’m udderly ECSTATIC to be donning my Dame drapery as ‘Trott’ at the King’s Head this Christmas! To be part of such an iconic queer venue’s panto is a real treat. It’s going to be camp, chaotic, and it’s just my cup of tea.”

Heroes don’t always wear capes… but ours occasionally wears a cowpat! Young milkman Jack finds himself thrust into the limelight when his mum’s dairy farm, Angel Delight on Udder Street – and Islington itself – is threatened by a greedy old giant! Armed with only a can of squirty cream and a talent for puns, Jack is determined to do battle with the giant… But can he persuade the townsfolk of Islington – and his mum – that he’s up to the job?

This production of Jack and the Beanstalk is written and directed by Andrew Pollard, who created last year’s Cinderella. Joining him on the creative team are: composer Ben Barrow, Mike Lees as set & costume designer, lighting designer Alex Lewer, sound designer Matthew Giles, musical director Jordan Paul Clarke, choreographer Emily Golding-Ellis, production manager Carrie Croft and general manager James Quaife.

The majority of performances for Jack and the Beanstalk will be a traditional family pantomime with a fun North London twist. Alongside these, on Thursday and Saturday nights, there will be selected Adults Only performances, each featuring a different special guest star – soon to be announced.
