It has been announced that Mike Bartlett’s adaptation of the multi Oscar and BAFTA award winning film will embark on a UK tour in 2026, opening at the Theatre Royal Windsor on Thursday 3 September 2026 where it will run to Saturday 12 September 2026.
From there the production will go on to the Edinburgh King’s Theatre from 15 – 19 September before touring to other venues across the UK. Full tour dates and casting have yet to be announced.
Inspired by the true story of Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams, as they aim for glory in the 1924 Paris Olympics, this stage adaptation is directed by Roxana Silbert.
The production will feature the original music by Vangelis.
