NEWS: New Casting Confirmed for Les Misérables

It has been announced that from next month, the company for Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre will include Harry Hepple  taking on the role of Thénardier, with Lizzie Bea as Madame Thénardier. Taking on the role of Eponine will be  Jess Folley.

They will join the previously announced Lucie Jones who will return to the role of Fantine. The new faces join Ian McIntosh as Jean Valjean, Sam Oladeinde as Javert, Thiago Phillip Felizardo as Marius Joe Griffiths-Brown as Enjolras and Izzi Levine as Cosette. All join the production from the 19th January until the 11th April.

The company is completed by Hollie Aires, Aidan Banyard, Ella May Carter, Nicholas Carter, Matthew Dale, Irfan Damani, Lily De-La-Haye, Lila Falce-Bass, Sophie-May Feek, Jessica Johns-Parsons, Seán Keany, Chris Kiely, Sam Kipling, Mia Lamb, Sarah Lark, Ollie Llewelyn-Williams, Matthew McConnell, Aaron-Jade Morgan, Adam Pearce, William Pennington, Jordan Simon Pollard, Lewis Renninson, Danielle Rose, Georgia Tapp, Noah Thallon, Imaan Victoria, and Danny Whelan.

Written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, Les Misérables is based on the novel by Victor Hugo. The production features rchestrations by Stephen Metcalfe, Christopher Jahnke and Stephen Brooker with original orchestrations by John Cameron. It is directed by ames Powell and Laurence Connor, designed by Matt Kinley inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo with costumes by Andreane Neofitou, Christine Rowland and Paul Wills, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Mick Potter, projections realised by Finn Ross and Fifty Nine Productions, musical staging by Geoffrey Garratt, and music supervision by Stephen Brooker and Alfonso Casado Trigo.

The music is by  Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel. Additional material is provided by James Fenton and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird.
