The show had its first workshop presentation last year.

It has been announced that a second development presentation of Midnight by Todrick Hall will take place at Sadler’s Wells East, Stratford Cross from the 20th February until the 8th March.
Set in America’s South during the nineteenth century, the musical is described as ‘a sweeping, sung-through musical that tells a powerful story of love, conflict, and the search for understanding’.
The cast is set to include Todrick Hall as as Rail, Jeremy Beloate as Richard, Rachel Webb as Lily Rose, Maia Gough as Scarlet, Ayana George as Ethel, Rachel Tucker as Charlotte, Marisha Wallace as Happy, Charlotte Jaconelli as Violet, Ahmed Hamad as Squeak, Isaac J Lewis as Harry, Nick Rashad Burroughs as Horace, George Maguire as Sylvester, and Brandon Lee Sears as Rehearsal Rail.
Meanwhile, the ensemble will be made up of Aaron Archer, Callum Macdonald, Charles Tatman, Dammi Aregbeshola, Deja Linton, India Thornton, Jenni Thomasson, Lashane Williams, Mukeni Nel, Psalms-Nissi Myers-Reid, Talia Duff, and Xavier Thomas.
The stand-bys will be: Callum Bell, Jamel Matthias, Jenny Richardson, and Zarina Thompson act as swings, while Christian De Gallerie, Durone Stokes, Kelly Agbowu, and Liv Alexander.
On the creative team, Todrick Hall provides Music & Lyrics as well as Direction/Choreography. He is joined by musical supervisor Mark Crossland, casting director Harry Blumenau, casting associate Laura Seaborn, associate choreographer Jenni Thomasson, associate director Jaconelli, musical director Laurence Stannard, assistant musical director Miguel Esteban, dance captain Thornton, and assistant dance captain Linton.
