The cast and creative team has been announced for Robert McWeir’s production of Claudio Macor’s ‘Savage’, which will officially open at the White Bear Theatre on the 27th February.

To tamper with nature is doomed to failure…

Nature forms part of a balanced world that presents only the truth, not choices. Savage is a visceral true account of Danish Doctor Carl Værnet, a Nazi sympathiser who believed he had found the cure for homosexuality.

Zack and Nikolai are in love in occupied Copenhagen. They are arrested late one night.

Zack is released as he has diplomatic immunity, but Nikolai is imprisoned and singled out for experimentation.

What follows is a traumatic and harrowing exposé of a flawed medical concept which ultimately failed but destroyed thousands of lives in the process.

The production is being produced by  LAMBCO Productions, with the creative team including: Musical Compositions by Aaron Clingham, Production Management by Richard Lambert, Costumes by Janet Huckle, Casting by Daniel Lobo, Graphic design by Steve Caplin,Producer Josephine Buchan and Executive Producers/Underwriters Robert Zampetti and Roy Matlofsky.
