The production will run at the theatre from the 6th July until the 5th September.

It has been announced that the Chichester Festival Theatre will present a revival of Lerner & Loewe’s classic musical ‘My Fair Lady’ as part of its 2026 season.
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Pygmalion’, the story follows that of Eliza a flower seller who dreams of working in a proper flower shop but isn’t taken seriously because of her accent. But she then meets phonetics professor Henry Higgins who places a bet that he can transform her voice and make her into a society lady.
Featuring a book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner and music by Frederick Loewe, the musical includes the classic songs “The Rain in Spain”, “I Could Have Danced All Night”, “With a Little Bit of Luck” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly”.
It first appeared on Broadway in 1956 and was later adapted into a film released in 1964.
This revival of the musical is set to be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh, running at the Festival Theatre from 6 July to 5 September, with a press night on 15 July. Casting has yet to be confirmed.
Kavanaugh returns to the Chichester Festival Theatre having previously directed The Music Man, Shadowlands and Half a Sixpence at the theatre. She is joined on the creative team for My Fair Lady by: set and costume designer Peter McKintosh, choreographer Stephen Mear, musical supervisor Stephen Ridley, musical director Cat Beveridge, lighting designer Howard Harrison, sound designer Ian Dickinson and casting director Stuart Burt.
