News: To Kill a Mockingbird to Return to London

It has been announced that Aaron Sorkin’s stage adaptation of Harper Lee’s classic novel will return to the West End this summer, playing at the Wyndham’s Theatre from the 25th June until the 12th September following its UK tour.

Directed by Bartlett Sher, the production was first seen in the West End in 2022, running in London until the summer 2023. It then kicked off a tour in Leeds in September, with the show currently in Dublin.

Harper Lee’s novel explores racial injustice in America, following the story of small-town lawyer Atticus Finch. It was transformed into a film that starred Gregory Peck.

It has also been announced that Richard Coyle, currently starring in the UK tour of the production will continue to play the role of Atticus Finch when the production returns to London this summer. Additional casting for the London run has yet to be announced.

As part of its tour, the production will visit: Grand Opera House in Belfast (24 February to 7 March 2026), Theatre Royal Plymouth (10 to 14 March 2026), Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury (17 to 21 March 2026), Mayflower Theatre, Southampton (24 to 28 March 2026), Birmingham Hippodrome (14 to 18 April 2026), Theatre Royal Newcastle (21 to 25 April 2026), Theatre Royal Norwich (28 April to 2 May 2026), Empire Theatre, Liverpool (12 to 16 May 2026), and Milton Keynes Theatre (19 to 23 May 2026).

The creative team behind the production includes: Louisa Muller (associate director), Miriam Buether (set designer), Ed Pierce (design supervisor), Ann Roth (costume designer), Jennifer Tipton (lighting designer), Scott Lehrer (sound designer), Adam Guettel (original score), Kimberley Grigsby (musical supervisor), Serena Hill (casting director), Campbell Young Associates (hair and wigs designer), Laurence Belcher (resident director), and Tavia Jefferson (cultural coordinator).

Tickets for the new London run will go on sale tomorrow (20th February).
