Quick Fire Questions With…Dan Fredenburgh

Dan Fredenburgh and Tracy Ann-Oberman in rehearsals for The Holy Rosenbergs (c)Manuel Harlan

It’s been a fascinating and challenging project. Especially given where the world has moved on since the original production.

A play that will engage them on many levels, I hope. A family saga that brings up extremely potent topics that people feel incredibly passionate about.

I was first drawn to the family saga.  As well as being simultaneously challenged by the play’s politics.

It’s been both fascinating and challenging. The subject matter of the present conflict is ever present even though the play is set in 2009. It’s definitely put me outside my comfort zone. Which I hear, is a good thing!

I’ve wanted to work at the Menier for a long time, having enjoyed seeing productions here in the past.
