NEWS: Regent’s Park Open aIR theatre Announces Spring/Summer Season

The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has confirmed full details of its Spring/Summer 2026 season.

 Artistic Director Drew McOnie’s second season will open with  the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes, a new mystery by Joel Horwood which is set to star Joshua James as Sherlock Holmes. Running at the theatre from the 2nd May until the 6th June, the production will be directed by Sean Holmes.

This will then be followed by A Life in Four Seasons, a new dance work set to Vivaldi’s masterpiece. Created by Tinuke Craig, the show has been choreographed by Alexzandra Sarmiento and features a musical score by DJ Walde. It will run from the 11th to the 14th June.

William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream will take to the stage from the 20th June until the 18th July. Directed by Atri Banerjee, the show will feature a score by Maimuna Memon.

Meanwhile, this will be followed by a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie. It will run at the theatre from the 25th July until the 12th September.

Finally, following sold-out runs at The Unicorn Theatre in 2023 and 2025, Anansi the Spider will head to Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from the 15th August until the 6th September. Written by Justin Audibert and directed by Robin Belfield, the story follows that of a spider – the infamous Anansi – the original trickster and the master spinner of yarns.
