The Bridge Theatre’s Olivier Award winning production will transfer to the heart of the West End in the Autumn.

It has been announced that Jordan Fein’s production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Wood will play at the Noel Coward Theatre from the 22nd September, running until the 9th January 2027.
With opening night set for the 7th October, it has also been confirmed that Kate Fleetwood will reprise her performance as the witch.
Having won the Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival and Best Lighting Design for Aideen Malone and Roland Horvath, tickets for the West End run of the musical are on sale now.

To now bring this wonderful show into the West End is thrilling and will give new audiences the opportunity to experience the brilliant music and words of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.”

Into the Woods is Sondheim and Lapine’s second collaboration after Sunday in the Park with George and brings together four Grimms’ fairy tales. It first made its Broadway debut in 1986, Into The Woods won Tony Awards each for Sondheim (Best Original Score) and Lapine (Best Book). In London it has had productions by Richard Jones (Phoenix Theatre, 1990), John Crowley (Donmar, 1998) and Timothy Sheader (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, 2010). This is its first major London production since 2016.
