The film from acclaimed French director Rebecca Zlotowski (Other People’s Children, Grand Central) will be released in UK & Ireland cinemas this summer.
Altitude has announced that Rebecca Zlotowski’s latest film A Private Life will be released in Uk & Ireland cinemas on the 26th June.
The film’s cast is led by two-time Academy Award winner and BAFTA winner Jodie Foster in her first-ever French-speaking lead role.

As well as being written and directed by Zlotowski, the film features a screenplay by Anne Berest and Rebecca Zlotowski, director of photography George Lechaptois, and editor Géraldine Mangenot.
Meanwhile, the cast for the film also includes: Daniel Auteuil, Virginie Efira, Mathieu Amalric, Vincent Lacoste, and Luàna Bajrami.
The film had its world premiere at the out of competition section of the 2025 cannes Film Festival. Foster’s performance went onto win her nomination for the Lumière Award for Best Actress, becoming the first American to receive a nomination.
