NEWS: Kristin Scott Thomas to Star in New Production of ‘The Cherry Orchard’

It has been announced that Kristin Scott Thomas will star in Ian Rickson’s (Uncle Vanya, Jerusalem, The Weir) production of Anton Chekov’s The Cherry Orchard this Autumn.

This production of the play will feature an adaptation by Conor McPherson (Uncle Vanya, Girl from the North Country, The Weir) and is being produced by Sonia Friedman Productions.

When Lyubov Ranevskaya (Kristin Scott Thomas) returns to her childhood estate after years abroad, she finds her family home and beloved cherry orchard under threat.

As old loyalties falter and new ambitions rise, a world of privilege begins to crumble. Can Lyubov embrace the future, or will the pull of memory prove impossible to escape?
