Here’s a guide to some of the theatre productions to look out for on Broadway for the rest of the year.

While theatre and dates for the revival of the musical have yet to be announced, it is set to be directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown (Hell’s Kitchen, Gypsy, for colored girls…, Choir Boy), with further information yet to be announced.
The musical follows girl group The Dreams on their rise to fame in the music industry and features a book and lyrics by by Tony winner Tom Eyen and music by Henry Krieger.
This one man show written and starring Billy Crystal is set to head to Broadway this Autumn for 12 weeks only with dates and venue to be confirmed.
This autobiographical show focuses on the house his family lost in the Palisades fire.

Inter Alia, Music Box Theatre:
It has been confirmed that Rosamund Pike will make her Broadway debut, reprising her role from the West End run in Suzie Miller’s acclaimed play.
With previews beginning on the 10th November, the play follows the story a London Crown Court judge who has to hold her family together in the wake of a terrible event that threatens to derail their lives. Directed by Justin Martin, it was first staged at the National theatre before its West End run.
Galileo, Shubert Theatre, Shubert Theatre :
This world premiere musical about the historical scientist Galileo Galilei will begin previews on Broadway on the 10th November. The show is set to star: Raúl Esparza, Joy Woods, Jeremy Kushnier and it has been written by Zoe Sarnak and Michael Weiner (music & lyrics) and Danny Strong (book).

Opening for previews on the 15th October, this world premiere musical is based on the true story of Mary and Martha Clarke, African-American twin sisters who take extraordinary measures to settle their mother’s sharecropper debt and save her home. Starring Solea Pfeiffer and Liisi LaFontaine, the musical is set to be directed by Stevie Walker-Webb.
Schoolgirls ; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, Samuel J. Friedman Theatre:
Jocelyn Bioh’s comedy returns to the American stage, opening for previews on Broadway on the 8th September. This new production of the comedy will be directed by Whitney White and it follows Ghanese school girls competing in a beauty contest. The play originally premiered at Off-Broadway’s MCC Theater in 2017.
