The stage adaptation based on the hit film series will head to the New York stage this summer.
It has been announced that Levi Holloway’s (Grey House) stage adaptation of Paranormal Activity will head to Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre from Friday 14th August, with official opening night set for 15th September. Casting has yet to be announced.
Directed by Felix Barrett , founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk, the story follows that of James and Lou, who move from Chicago to London in an attempt to leave their past behind but discover that unexplained things continue to happen to them.
Before making its West End debut earlier this year, Paranormal Activity also toured North America and played in Leeds. It will be returning to London from the 8th August until the 3rd October, with a UK tour beginning at Richmond Theatre on the 5th September.
The creative team behind the production also includes: Fly Davis as set and costume designer, Chris Fisher providing illusions, Anna Watson as lighting designer, Gareth Fry as sound designer, Luke Halls as video designer, and casting director Ginny Schiller.
The show is produced by Simon Friend and Hanna Osmolska for Melting Pot in association with Gavin Kalin, Ken Davenport, Jenny King, Patrick Gracey, Jonathan and Rae Corr and Leeds Playhouse. Joining the producing team for the Broadway run is Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse, the original producer of the Paranormal Activity film franchise.
