NEWS: Broadway Dates & Venue Announced for Jamie Lloyd’s Production of Evita

It has been announced that Jamie Lloyd’s critically acclaimed production of Evita will play at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York from the 27th February 2027, with official opening night set for the 25th March.

As previously announced, Rachel Zegler will reprise her Olivier Award winning performance as Eva Peron. It has been confirmed that Zegler will not appear at the following performances: Tuesday 13 April 2027, Tuesday 20 April 2027, Tuesday 27 April 2027, Tuesday 11 May 2027, Tuesday 25 May 2027, Wednesday matinee 2 June 2027, Wednesday matinee 9 June 2027, Tuesday 22 June 2027, 9 August through 15 August 2027 and 25 October through 31 October 2027.

Fuelled by unrelenting ambition and passion, Eva Perón (Zegler) rose from poverty to become the most powerful woman in Latin America. A beacon of hope to some and a threat to others, her star shone brightly as she captured the nation’s heart and divided its soul. Evita features an iconic score including “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Oh What A Circus,” “Another Suitcase in Another Hall,” and the Oscar-winning “You Must Love Me.”

Evita was last seen on Broadway in 2012 in a revival starring Elena Roger and Ricky Martin. A concert staging at New York City Center in 2019 was directed by Sammi Cannold.

Tickets for the Broadway run are set to go on sale on the 1st June.
