NEWS: Hadestown Extends West End Run into 2027

It has been announced that Hadestown is extending its West End stay and is now booking until the 27th June 2027, with 140,000 tickets available.

Based on the mythological stories of Orpheus and Eurydice and of Hades and Persephone, the musical features music, lyrics and book by Anaïs Mitchell, with direction by Rachel Chavkin.

Currently the cast stars  Rachel Adedeji as Persephone, with Bethany Antonia cast as Eurydice and Marley Fenton as Orpheus. Alastair Parker is in the role of Hades, while Clive Rowe plays Hermes.

Meanwhile, Spike Maxwell, Melanie Bright and Lauran Rae are the Fates, alongside Gabriela Benedetti, Femi Akinfolarin, Michelle Andrews, Ollie Bingham and Sebastian Lim-Seet as Workers. Juan Jackson, Oisín Nolan-Power, Lindo Shinda, Jasmine Triadi and Milly Willows are swings.

The creative team behind Hadestown includes: choreographer David Neumann, scenic designer Rachel Hauck, costume designer Michael Krass, lighting designer Bradley King, sound designers Nevin Steinberg and Jessica Paz, music supervisor and vocal arranger Liam Robinson, arrangers and orchestrators Michael Chorney and Todd Sickafoose, dramaturg Ken Cerniglia, UK associate director Maria Crocker, co-musical directors and associate music supervisors Tarek Merchant and George Francis, with casting by Jacob Sparrow and principal casting by Rob Kelly.

The musical is produced by Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy and the National Theatre in association with JAS Theatricals.
