Love London Love Culture’s Theatre Picks: July 2026

While there will also be a production of this musical in London later this year, fans of the film can catch this stage adaptation of the hit film which originally starred Cher and Christina Aguilera on stage across the country. It is set to open at Woking Theatre on the 25th July and currently touring until the end of May 2027.

Taking place from the 1st to the 31st July, this year’s Watford Fringe Festival will feature a range of theatre, music, comedy, dance, family entertainment and more with more than 70 shows to choose from!. Highlights include comedy offerings such as Mitch Benn: Asking Elvis (11th & 15th July), which sees the acclaimed comedian and songwriter blend music and sharp satire. Jody Kamali: This Is My Dad (3rd July) offers a heartfelt and humorous exploration of family, identity and growing up between cultures, whileCrowd Work with President Obonjo (4th July) brings an audience-led comedy style that has made the self-proclaimed African dictator a firm Fringe favourite. Completing the comedy line-up is Alice Keys: Rocket Fan (4 th July), a quirky new show packed with stellar storytelling and eccentric humour.

The stage show based on the hit films heads to the Coliseum this July. Featuring an acclaimed line up of magicians including: internationally acclaimed illusion designer and performer, Enzo Weyne; one of the world’s leading escapologists, Andrew Basso; a dynamic rising star of modern magic, Gabriella Lester; and award-winning British magician and master storyteller, Matthew Pomeroy, it is a show that brings together high-tech illusions, solo stunts and jaw-dropping spectacles.

Original Theatre’s production in collaboration Reading Rep Theatre of Micheál Mac Liammóir’s celebrated play, The Importance of Being Oscar is heading to the Park Theatre from the 22nd July. Having appeared at the Jermyn Street Theatre last year, the production will star Original Theatre’s Artistic Director Alastair Whatley, it is a story of loves,losses, successes and struggles of the iconic man.

Following its successful run at the Old Vic Theatre, Carrie Cracknell’s production of Tom Stoppard’s play is in the West End for a limited run, officially opening on the 1st July. The cast includes Nikki Amuka -Bird , Oliver Chris and Isis Haisnworth.

It seems that London can never get enough of Heathers the Musical. Based on the iconic 1980’s film, the musical returns to play at this new London theatre for 52 performances only!

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical is getting a revival, directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie. Due to popular demand, it is now booking at the theatre until the  19th September and will of course feature all of the classic songs such as Deuteronomy, Macavity: The Mystery Cat, Jellicle Ball  and Memory.
