The comedy drama film starring Tom Cruise is set to be released in cinemas on the 2nd October.
Warner Bros . has released a trailer for Digger, the upcoming new film from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu (“Birdman,” “The Revenant”).
As the director’s first English language film since The Revenant, Tom Cruise stars as Digger Rockwell a billionaire who might have set off an ecological disaster that could also spark a nuclear war.
Cruise is joined in the film by John Goodman who portrays an ailing U.S. president who implores Cruise’s character to fix the mess he’s unleashed.
The cast also includes: Riz Ahmed, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde and Emma D’Arcy.
Digger is being produced by Legendary Pictures, with filming taking place for six months in the UK. Emmanuel Lubezki is the cinematographer on the film, using vista vision.
