It has been announced that the Menier Chocolate Factory will present the London premiere of Jonathan O’Boyle’s production of Victoria Wood and Tom MacRae’s musical Fourteen Again.

Running at the theatre from the 21st November until the 27th February 2027, the show will see Ria Jones and Sally Ann Triplett reprising their roles of Lou and Peggy in Jonathan O’Boyle’s production.

With full casting to be announced, Fourteen Again will officially open at the Menier Chocolate Factory on the 2nd December.

Peggy is recently divorced and lost in life, when a chance meeting with her long-lost childhood best friend, Lou, forces her to think about the trials and triumphs of their teenage years together. But thought soon becomes reality when Peggy wakes up to find that she is literally Fourteen Again, Peggy must fix the mistakes of her past to get back her present – but which mistakes?

The show was originally seen at the Victoria Wood Theatre, previously The Old Laundry Theatre, which was renamed this year – the 10th anniversary of Wood’s death, by her close friends and collaborators, the husband-and-wife team, producer Charlotte Scott and designer Roger Glossop. To celebrate Wood’s life and work they commissioned Tom MacRae (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie) to work with her songbook to create a brand-new musical, the inaugural production in the newly renamed venue.

This production features work by Musical Supervisor, Arranger & Co-Orchestrator: Nigel Lilley; Choreographer: Sammy Murray; Set Designer: Roger Glossop; Costume Designer: Caroline Hughes;  Lighting Designer: Jason Taylor; Sound Designer: Sam Glossop; Musical Director & Co-Orchestrator: Archie McMorran and Associate Designer: Caroline Dalton.
