It has been confirmed that the McFly singer will perform as the character for two performances at the Lowry in Manchester on the 19th September, before performing the role in London.
It has been confirmed that Harry Judd will officially take over the role of Coach Bolton from Jason Donovan on the 19th September before the show opens at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 12 October 2026 – 3 January 2027.

Marking the 20th anniversary of the film, this stage adaptation features a book by David Simpatico with music adapted, arranged and produced by Bryan Louiselle and is co-directed by Hope Mill founders Joseph Houston and William Whelton. It features all of the original songs such as: Breaking Free, We’re All In This Together, Get’cha Head in the Game, Stick to the Status Quo and many more.
