The new restaurant is the latest venture from Portuguese-South African restaurant brand Sea Garden and Grill.

Sea Garden and Grill has opened its latest venue SeaGarden Boat, bringing its signature approach to seafood to the waters of Paddington Canal.
This new floating restaurant offers freshly prepared seafood prepared using traditional Portuguese cooking techniques, with the addition of distinctive South African influences.
As seafood is the central ingredient, guests can enjoy Oysters, Tuna Tartare, Passionfruit Scallops served with Passionfruit Sriracha Butter & Peach Salsa and much more. Larger plates include Crab Risotto, Cornish Mussels, and Coconut and Mango-Battered Fish, bringing a tropical twist to a classic seafood favourite. There is also homemade sauces and biltong add further character to the menu, while a selection of sides and two steak options offer something for those looking beyond seafood.
For those looking for a more indulgent feast, SeaGarden Boat offers two sharing options. The Seafood Boil, one of the brand’s most popular dishes, brings together lobster tail, king prawns, mussels, sweetcorn, and scallops, finished with a Cajun Peri-Peri sauce. Available as an individual portion or to share, it is made for a hands-on, flavour-packed dining experience. Alternatively, the Seafood Platter offers a showcase of the kitchen’s seafood, featuring tuna tartare, anchovies, octopus vinaigrette, beetroot, andgin-cured salmon, scallops, whole lobster tail and salt-and-pepper squid.
The drinks menu features a range of ocean-inspired cocktails crafted using homemade purees and sorbets. Among the distinctive touches is the restaurant’s own coconut and lychee rum, adding a tropical note to the drinks offering and making SeaGarden Boat as appealing for a cocktail as it is for a full seafood feast.
Elsewhere, SeaGarden Boat offers a programme of experiences designed to make the most of its unique setting. Guests can enjoy regular yoga sessions followed by a seafood brunch, and happy hour offerings, creating new reasons to visit throughout the week. The boat is also available for private hire, with space for groups of 15 guests or more. Guests can choose from a selection of set menus, making it an alternative setting for celebrations, get-togethers, and special occasions on the canal.
