A new interview with the cast of American Buffalo, which is currently in previews at the Wyndham’s Theatre has just been released.

Shot during rehearsals for the play, this new video sees Damian Lewis, John Goodman, Tom Sturridge and director Daniel Evans talking about the new production of David Mamet’s explosive drama.

As three small time crooks, Walter (Lewis), Don (Goodman) and Bob (Sturridge) plan one big-time heist, a tragedy of errors begins to play out in this dark but funny play that shows the fickle nature of honour among thieves.

American Buffalo is considered to be a classic in the American repertoire and is widely recognised as one of Mamet’s masterpieces.

The play originally premiered at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, before opening on Broadway on the 16th February 1977. It has also been made into a 1996 film starring Dustin Hoffman, Dennis Franz and Sean Nelson.

American Buffalo is currently showing at the Wyndham’s Theatre for a limited season until 27th June.
