The full cast for the production of Franz Kafka’s The Trial has been announced today as the run also is now extended to Saturday 22nd August.
In the production that will be directed by Richard Jones, the cast will include Rory Kinnear, Kate O’Flynn, Hugh Skinner and Sian Thomas.
Due to the popularity of tickets, the run (which begins on the 19th June) has been extended until towards the end of August.
In order to give as many people as possible a chance to see the production, the theatre has also announced that a day seat lottery will take place for every performance at the Young Vic Box Office.
If you are thinking about entering then you need to give your name to the box office at 5pm, with names being drawn at 5.30. While for the matinee shows names must be submitted by 1pm for the 1.30 draw. These day seats will only be available in person.
Rory Kinnear returns to the stage to play K, whose 30th birthday begins a waking nightmare. As he is visited by state agents and accused of an unspecified crime, he becomes increasingly bewildered by the layers of bureaucracy as well as the motives behind it.
This is the first time that Kinnear has been on the stage since his Evening Standard Award-winning performance as Iago in Othello at the National Theatre in 2013, for which he also won an Olivier Award.
Other members of the company will include Marc Antolin, Steven Beard, Richard Cant, Sarah Crowden, Charlie Folorunsho, Neil Haigh, Suzy King and Weruche Opia.
The production has been designed by Miriam Buether, with costumes by Nicky Gillibrand and adapted by Nick Gill.
