The Lyric Hammersmith Theatre has announced the programme for the fifth season of Theatre in the Square, a series of shows which features three companies performing for passers-by on the streets in Hammersmith.
This latest series will include performances of Boy Meets Girl, Monotone Man, and Citizen Squid and details of which can be found below.
Boy Meets Girl – Tuesday 9th June and Wednesday 10th June
For this performance, grab a pair of headphones to follow the journey of Boy & Girl who set off on a journey into the unknown in a interactive love story around Hammersmith thanks to Zest Theatre .
Monotone Man – Tuesday 16th June and Wednesday 17th June
Monotone Man has been leading a monochrome life, stuck in a routine of black and white as he heads off through London by himself – but what would happen if that routine was broken? To find out join Human Zoo who discover the colourful side of life.
Citizen Squid – Tuesday 23rd June and Wednesday 24th June
A giant squid has crept into the square and no one is sure just how it got there and what is to be done with it. This is one resident in Hammersmith that really needs help thanks to Puppets with Guts!
After its appearances in the square, both Citizen Squid and Monotone Man will transfer to the Watford Palace Theatre as part of the Imagine Watford Festival from the 3rd to the 5th of July.
In addition to this, Monotone Man will also appear at the Greenwich and Docklands Festival and Latitude Festival .
