Now running into its 16th year, the Musicport Festival in Whitby will this year be taking place from the 16th to the 18th October at the Whitby Pavilion Complex it has been announced.

This year’s festival will feature some excellent international artists as well as local and regional acts, meaning that there will be something for everyone at this year’s event.

The festival was originally established in 2000 to promote live music and music education in Whitby and the surrounding area, but has now been expanded to welcome festival goers of all ages.

Acts who have already been announced to perform at this year’s festival include: Terry Hall, Afrikan Boy, Blue Rose Code and Salsa Orchestra.
