Having released his new album in the UK and single Ain’t We Brothers in 2016, Sam Gleaves releases his new single with Tyler HUghes ‘When We Love’. 

Having been born and raised in Wythe County in southwest Virginia, the singer’s style of music reflects mountain music with a sense of history.

2016 saw him supporting Peggy Seeger on UK dates and now he teams up with with Tyler Hughes to release their eponymously titled album on June 16th through Community Music.

It has also been announced that Sam Gleaves will play his first UK solo tour this summer playing dates including:

30th  July : Cambridge Folk Festival
31st July : Half Moon, Putney, London
1st August : Factory Street, Bradford
3rd August : Coliseum, Whitby
4th August : Tan Hill, Swaledale
The songwriter writes songs in the Appalachian tradition, all telling stories of love, the home place, working people and present social issues in the mountains. He also plays a number of string instruments including the banjo, guitar, fiddle, autoharp and dulcimer.
