Having been hugely popular as part of the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre season (to which it returns briefly before this UK tour), this production of William Golding’s classic book is getting ready to open at New Victoria Theatre in Woking as part of a brand new UK tour.

This is the latest Open Air Theatre production to make the transition from London to the rest of the UK following on from last year’s To Kill a Mockingbird.
When a group of schoolboys survive a horrific plane crash, what starts as an adventure suddenly turns into a struggle for survival in a sinister world of immorality.
Lord of the Flies was originally published in 1954, and was William Golding’s debut novel. It has since become a classic and hugely popular with people around the world. Other works by the author include: Free Fall, The Spire and Rites of Passage. He was awarded The Nobel Prize in literature in 1983.

The cast for this year’s tour includes Freddie Watkins, Luke Ward-Wilkinson,Matthew Castle and Michael Ajao.
Lord of the Flies is directed by the Regent Park Theatre’s Artistic Director Timothy Sheader and co-directed by Liam Steele. It features designs by Jon Bausor lighting designed by Paul Keogan.
During its original run at the Open Air Theatre, it played to full capacity and critics raved about it calling it ‘a thrilling descent into horror’ (The Telegraph). But it is now getting ready to thrill audiences indoors for this UK tour.
The tour opens at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking on Wednesday 16th September until Saturday the 19th September. For a full list of dates visit here.
