The Michael Grandage Company has released a teaser trailer for the forthcoming production of Photograph 51, offering viewers a first glimpse of Nicole Kidman in Anna Ziegler’s play.
Photograph 51, which opens at the Noel Coward Theatre on the 5th September, tells the story of Rosalind Franklin and a photograph. Does she fully understand just how important this image is? In a race to understand the secret of life could her picture be the one to hold the key? With countless scientists searching for the answer, who will be the first to see it and understand it?
This new play by Anna Ziegler (A Delicate Ship, Dov and Ali) looks at the woman who managed to crack DNA and asks what is to be sacrificed in the pursuit of science and a place in history.
Kidman was last seen on stage in the West End in 1998, starring in a production of The Blue Room at the Donmar Warehouse. This return to theatre is one of the most highly anticipated productions of the year so far.
Photograph 51 is directed by Michael Grandage and will run at the Noel Coward Theatre until the 21st November.
