Sadler’s Wells are preparing to welcome Scottish dance company Barrowland Ballet to the Lilian Baylis Studio from the 23rd to the 24th October, performing the London premiere of Tiger Tale.
Tiger Tale combines live music, theatre and dance to create a show that is about a family whose world is turned upside down when a tiger invades.
The show is created by Barrowland Ballet’s Artistic Director Natasha Gilmore and the award-winning playwright Robert Alan Evans, Tiger Tale tells the story of a family who are bored by their everyday routine and have forgotten what it is that they love about each other. The invasion of a tiger into their lives adds chaos to their lives but ultimately reignites the love within their family.
Tiger Tale gives audiences the opportunity to sit close to the action and surround the performers on all four sides of the performance studio. After the show ends, the audience are also invited to explore the set.
Arriving in London for the first time, Tiger Tale is suitable for those aged five and above, providing entertainment for the whole family.
Barrowland Ballet is one of Scotland’s most successful dance companies. Based in Glasgow, the company name reflects their combination of popular culture, art, their east Glasgow base and a strong belief that dance is for everyone.
