New production images of the new cast joining Matilda the Musical have been released as the hit musical celebrates its fourth anniversary in the West End.
The new cast includes Evie Hone and Lizzie Wells joining Anna Louise-Wright and Lara McDonnell in the title role, alongside Michael Begley as Mr Wormwood, Miria Parvin as Miss Honey and Rebecca Thornhill as Mrs Wormwood. Craige Els continues in the role of Miss Trunchbull.

Based on Roald Dahl’s beloved book, the production will celebrate its fourth anniversary in the West End on Sunday 25th October and is now booking at the Cambridge Theatre until the 18th December 2016.
Having captured the imagination of children and adults alike, the Royal Shakespeare Company production Matilda the Musical has won countless awards in Stratford-upon-Avon, London and New York and is proving popular with audiences all over the world. The London and broadway productions have been joined by the US tour, which opened in Los Angeles in May and it has been announced that the Australian production will open for a strictly limited season in Melbourne from the 13th March 2016.

The production originally premiered at the Royal Shakespeare Company’s The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon in November 2010 before transferring to London’s West End in October 2011. Matilda the Musical was written by playwright Dennis Kelly and features music and lyrics by comedian Tim Minchin and directed by Matthew Warchus.
It features designs by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and special effects and illusions by Paul Kieve.
