Jane Austen’s beloved classic Pride and Prejudice will be presented by The Hampstead players at the Hampstead Parish Church from the 26th to the 28th November.
Following the fortunes of five unmarried daughters of Mr and Mrs Bennet, the story begins as two single and eligible bachelors Mr Bingley and Mr Darcy arrive in the neighbourhood. What follows is a plot with misunderstandings and prejudice but also one of the greatest love stories ever told.
Exploring themes of love, class and reputation, Pride and Prejudice is Austen’s sharp perception of her own world at the time in the early 19th century.
Set in the atmospheric setting of Hampstead Parish Church, Pride and Prejudice is brought to life in a production that has been adapted and directed by Jane Mayfield.
The cast will include: Barnney Lyons as Mr Bingley, Jon Waters as Mr Darcy, Sarah Day as Elizabeth Bennet and Michaela Clement-Hayes as Jane Bennet.
