It has been announced that the Watermill production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Don Black’s classic musical Tell Me on a Sunday will be heading on a UK tour in 2016.
The production, starring Jodie Prenger, will appear at the Watermill Theatre in Bagnor from the 28th January to the 20th February 2016, before embarking on a UK tour from March until June.
Tell Me on a Sunday tells the story of the romantic misadventures of a young English girl living in New York during the 1980’s. Although filled with optimism and looking for love and success, she soon discovers that she may be looking for love in all the wrong places.
Featuring the iconic songs ‘Take That Look Off Your Face’ and of course ‘Tell Me On a Sunday’, this production is directed by Paul Foster and designed by David Woodhead.
Although originally conceived for television, it has found its biggest success on stage, having been performed by many legendary musical stars such as Marti Webb and Sarah Brightman.
Jodie Prenger is best known for winning the role of Nancy in Cameron Mackintosh’s West End production of Oliver! through the BBC television series “I’d Do Anything”. Other previous credits include roles in Calamity Jane, One Man, Two Guvnors and Spamalot.
