Casting has been announced today for the production of Owen Sheers’ play Pink Mist , appearing at the Bush Theatre from the 21st January to the 13th February.

Looking at the physical mental scars that war can leave, Pink Mist will feature five of the six original cast of the 2015 run of the production returning for a run at the Bush Theatre.

Phil Dunster, Peter Edwards, Rebecca Hamilton, Zara Ramm and Alex Steadman all reprising their roles, with Rebecca Killick joining the company.

Owen Sheers’ play tells the story of three young men from Bristol who are deployed to Afghanistan. Returning to the women in their lives who also have to share their the physical and psychological aftershocks of their service – it is their journey back home is the greatest battle that they have ever faced.

Pink Mist was inspired by thirty interviews with returned servicemen and was first staged at the Bristol Old Vic in July 2015.

This moving production is directed by John Retallack and George Mann and combines dynamic movement with Sheers’ haunting verse.

Pink Mist will appear at the Bush Theatre from the 21st January to the 13th February before a run at the Bristol Old Vic from the 16th February to the 5th March.
