One of horror film’s most iconic monsters is brought back to life again in a modern adaptation of Frankenstein, which arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on the 22nd February…

(Warning: trailer is a little bit graphic in places – so please don’t watch if slightly squeamish)

Set in Los Angeles in the present day, the film tells its tale from the point of view of the monster as he is created by a husband and wife team of scientists and then left for dead. The monster is confronted by nothing but aggression and violence as he makes his way through the world and must get to grips with the nature of humanity as he attempts to find his own.

Frankenstein stars Xavier Samuel (Twilight: Eclipse) as The Monster, Danny Houston, Carrie-Anne Moss, Tony Todd and Maya Erskine.

It is directed by Bernard Rose, whose previous credits include Candyman and The Devil’s Violinist.
