The full cast for Matthew Perry’s debut play has been announced as the play prepares to open for previews at the Playhouse Theatre on February 2nd.

Directed by Lindsay Posner (She Stoops to Conquer, Hayfever), the production will see Christina Cole, Lloyd Owen and Jennifer Mudge star alongside Matthew Perry in his debut play.

The End of Longing will feature designs by Anna Fleischle (Hangmen), lighting by Lucy Carter and composition and sound by Isobel Waller-Bridge.

Bittersweet and fast-paced, this brand new play will reunite Perry and Posner who last collaborated on Sexual Perversity in Chicago at the Comedy Theatre in 2003.

Meet Jack, Stephanie, Joseph and Stevie: four lost souls, entering their forties and searching for meaning. After sharing one raucous night together in a downtown Los Angeles bar, their lives become irreversibly entwined in a rollercoaster journey that forces them to confront the darker sides of their relationships.

Christina Cole will play the role of Stevie. Her previous credits on stage include The Magistrate at the National Theatre and The Lightening Play at the Almeida Theatre.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Mudge (Stephanie) will be making her West End debut in The End of Longing. She has most recently appeared off-Broadway as the witch in Into the Woods – for which she was nominated for a Lortel award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical.

Lloyd Owen’s (Joseph) most recent stage credits include Good People (Hampstead theatre and the West End) and The Bodyguard (Adelphi Theatre).

Best known for his role as Chandler Bing in hit show Friends, Matthew Perry returns to the West End for the first time since 2003. He is also currently the star and producer on CBS’s The Odd Couple.

The End of Longing appears at the Playhouse Theatre from the 2nd February to the 14th May. To book tickets visit: UK Tickets.co.uk, ATG Tickets, Theatre People.com, Ticketmaster.co.uk, Love Theatre.com, Discount Theatre.com, Theatre Tickets Direct.co.uk and Last Minute.com
