A unique and calming environment that constantly play songs that musical fans can sing along to as well as musical themed drinks make The Theatre Cafe a perfect place for musical fans to visit…
Meeting up with some fellow theatre bloggers on a dreary Sunday afternoon, the Theatre Cafe along Shaftesbury avenue (just opposite the Queen’s Theatre aka where Les Miserables is playing) makes for a perfect venue for long in depth catchup with some Theatre Bloggers.
Everything about the Theatre Cafe will appeal to theatre fans – from the range of props from shows to the theatrically named drinks there isn’t anything that won’t fail to charm about this place.
The location is also absolutely perfect: right in the heart of the West End, with shows such as Les Miserables and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night- Time surrounding the cafe, you really do feel as though you are celebrating the best of theatre as well as having a drink and a chill out.
It might even tempt you to book a few tickets to shows as well, with iPads available for people to use to book tickets on for a wide range of shows.
Having celebrated its first birthday a few weeks ago, the cafe also has been known to host a number of events to celebrate the best of what London’s West End has to offer.
With musical tracks playing in the background (which is difficult not to sing along to), this perfect location to talk about all things relating to theatre and what it lacks for in size more than makes up in atmosphere – all in all worth a visit if you happen to be in the city.
