Yolanda Mercy’s Rich Mix Small Story Big City Emerging Artist Programme Award 2015 winning play is performing at the Soho Theatre as part of the Soho Rising Festival.
Written and performed by Yolanda Mercy, the piece follows Remi, a recent graduate whoo discovers what it means to live in the 21st century.
This one woman play explores mental health and survival in an extremely competitive job market and is based on real life testimonies from those with mental health problems and those who have struggled to find a job.
It is a dark comedy challenges perceptions around anxiety, depression and unemployment to change audience’s views on social issues.
On The Edge of Me blends comedy, storytelling, music, poetry and audience interaction to to get audiences interacting with issues and pressures surrounding young people today.
