Arion Productions Ltd have launched a new series of masterclasses at the Diorama Arts Studios to provide ‘one day only’ training in much-sought-after specialist fields with some of the country’s finest theatre, film, television and radio professionals.
The masterclasses will include: two time Olivier Award winner Jenny Galloway (Acting Through Song Masterclass); multi-award winning producer Danielle Tarento (Auditioning for Musical Theatre Masterclass); long standing War Horse, Citizen Squid and Goodnight Mr Tom puppeteer Abigail Matthews (West End Puppetry Masterclass); and Olivier and Actor’s Screen Guild Award nominated actress Annette Badland (Acting for Stage and Screen Masterclass) who is currently appearing in EastEnders.
Each of the masterclasses will be able to hold up to 50 participants and will be held on various Sundays throughout 2016. The classes are aimed at those considering or currently training at drama school or theatre professionals wanting to learn new skills. All attendees must be over 16.
Artistic Director of Arion Productions Andrew Keates comments: “Many students and professional actors have expressed the wish for practical masterclasses to learn new or specialist industry skills. Not everyone is fortunate enough to be able to afford to go to drama school. Arion is privileged to have links with some extraordinary professionals who have extremely successful careers. We want to help anyone who likes to learn and takes their career seriously.”
All of the profits raised from those taking part will be invested into future opportunities by Arion productions to help other theatre-makers by giving practical work experience on their future shows and events.
