Wakaa the Musical is a stage production filled with drama, comedy, live music and dance about the highs and lows of the lives of graduates with varied backgrounds.

A wager between graduates after their graduation has a twist when the realities of life and the folly of their choices hit them. Eventually they reunite, coming full circle.

The story reveals the struggles and challenges young people face in present day Nigeria and abroad. WAKAA! The Musical takes you on an emotional roller coaster and is a strong satire of Nigeria’s politics.

The production looks at the scheming, intrigues and games that people play in life to get ahead.

Bolanle Austin Peters, the force behind Terra Kulture, one of Nigeria’s most successful and influential arts, cultural and production companies, says “Due to popular demand, we are taking the show to the largely discerning and open London population. Wakaa! The Musical is a proudly Nigerian cultural export that has the potential to boost cultural diplomacy and promote our cultural heritage abroad.”

Wakaa the Musical will run at The Shaw Theatre from the 21st to the 25th July. To book tickets visit: http://www.shaw-theatre.com/index.php?id=215
