The actress, currently starring as Sheridan Smith’s understudy in Funny Girl at the Savoy Theatre, will be leading the all star cast for the London Palladium’s pantomime of Cinderella, running at the theatre from the 9th December until the 15th January 2017.
It has also been confirmed that Suzie Chard and Wendy Somerville will also be joining the cast as the Wicked Stepsisters, completing the line up.
The pantomime will also star Paul O’Grady (The Wicked Stepmother), Julian Clary (Dandini), Amanda Holden (The Fairy Godmother), Lee Mead (Prince Charming), Paul Zerdin (Buttons), Nigel Havers (Lord Chamberlain) and Count Arthur Strong (Baron Hardup).
Produced by Qdos Entertainment, this will be the first pantomime to be held at the London Palladium in more than thirty years. It will be directed by Michael Harrison and feature choreography by Andrew Wright. Cinderella will be designed by Ian Westbrook with costume designs for Paul O’Grady and Julian Clary by Hugh Durrant. Lighting design is by Ben Cracknell with projections by Duncan Mclean and sound by Gareth Owen.
