Initial casting for Qdos Entertainment’s 2017 pantomime at the London Palladium has been confirmed.
Playing at the London Palladium from the 9th December, it has been confirmed that Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin and Nigel Havers will be taking part in this year’s pantomime.
Following the success of Cinderella, pantomime will return once more to the iconic theatre to add some festive cheer to the West End. Following their performances in the 2016 pantomime, Julian Clary joins the cast to play Spirit of the Bells, alongside Paul Zerdin as Idle Jack and Nigel Havers as Captain Nigel. Further casting and creative team will be confirmed later in the year.
Dick Whittington will be directed by Michael Harrison, who has directed many pantomimes for Newcastle Theatre Royal and the Birmingham Hippodrome. It is being produced by Nick Thomas and Michael Harrison for Qdos Entertainment.
Julian Clary is a best selling-author and regular panelist for Radio 4’s Just a Minute and in 2016 toured his one man show ‘The Joy of Mincing’.
Nigel Havers is best known for his roles in ‘Chariots of Fire’ and ‘Passage to India’. His stage credits include roles in the West End productions of Art and The Importance of Being Earnest.
