Following her successful productions of H.M.S. Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance, Sasha Regan has confirmed the world premiere of an all-male production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operetta The Mikado.

Combining Gilbert and Sullivan’s humour and tunefulness with Sasha Regan’s sense of fun, the Mikado is the latest production heading off on a UK tour, following successful tours of H.M.S Pinafore and The Pirates of Penzance.
Poking fun at the British politics and institutions, The Mikado takes audiences back to the 1950’s England where a school camping trip is visiting the far away land of Titipu – a place where flirting is banned on pain of death and where tailors can become Lord High Executioners but cannot cut off another’s head, until they have cut off their own!
Talking about the news Regan said: “Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing our work playing in some of the most beautiful theatres our country has to offer. 2017 is going to be a great year for us as we bring a brand new staging to our audiences – it’s beyond exciting.”
As well as being directed by Sasha Regan, this new production will also feature choreography by Holly Hughes, designs by Ryan Dawson Laight and lighting by Tim Deiling.
Meanwhile, the cast will include: Richard Munday, David McKechnie , Ben Vivian- Jones, Alan Richardson , Jame Jukes, Richard Russell Edwards, Alex Weatherhill , James Waud, Matthew Hobbs, Daniel Slade, Joey Warne, Jordan Ginger , Peter Houston and Daniel Miles.
The Mikado will embark on a UK tour from the 18th April until the 29th July. For more information about the tour dates and to book tickets visit: http://www.allmalemikado.com/.
