Following its critical acclaim, it has been announced that An American in Paris is now booking until January 2018. 


Christopher Wheeldon’s production of the Oscar winning film will now book at the Dominion Theatre until the 27th January 2018 it has been announced.

Jerry Mulligan is an American GI pursuing his dream to make it as a painter in a city suddenly bursting with hope and possibility. Following a chance encounter with a beautiful young dancer named Lise, the streets of Paris become the backdrop to a sensuous, modern romance of art, friendship and love in the aftermath of war…

Featuring classic George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin songs such as ‘I Got Rhythm’ and ‘S Wonderful ‘ , An American in Paris stars Robert Fairchild (as Jerry Mulligan) and Leanne Cope (as Lise Dassin), together with Haydn Oakley as Henri Baurel, Zoë Rainey as Milo Davenport, David Seadon-Young as Adam Hochberg and Jane Asher as Madame Baurel.

An American in Paris originally premiered at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris in 2014 before transferring to the Palace Theatre on Broadway going on to win four Tony awards.

The production includes music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a new book by Craig Luca. Meanwhile,  the creative team includes set and costumes designs by Bob Crowley, lighting by Natasha Katz, sound by Jon Weston and projection designs by 59 Productions.
