NEWS: Cirque du Soleil to Bring ‘Ovo’ to the Royal Albert Hall

It has been confirmed that Cirque du Soleil will return to the Royal Albert Hall in 2018 with their production ‘Ovo’ from the 7th January.

Arriving in the UK for the first time, ‘Ovo’ is Cirque du Soleil’s celebration of nature and co-existence performed by 50 performing artists from 17 countries, specialising in many different acrobatics.

Having travelled to North America and making its European debut in Zurich in October, ‘Ovo’ arrives at London’s Royal Albert Hall from the 7th January 2018. It follows on from hugely successful run of Amaluna at the venue last year.

Artists performing in the production will include Alanna Baker from Greater London who plays the role of the Black Spider in the show. Having been training since she was five years old she has travelled around the world with OVO to countries as far reaching as Japan and Australia.

‘Ovo’ originally premiered in 2009 in Montreal as a Big Top show and embarks on a journey that offers the same experience of a Big Top show but on a bigger scale.

The creative team behind the show includes: Artistic Guides by Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix; writing, directing and choreography by Deborah Colker ; Director of Creation Chantal Tremblay; set and props designsGringo Cardia and costume design by Liz Vandal.

Ovo will play at the Royal Albert Hall from the 7th January until the 11th February 2018. To book tickets visit: Discount Theatre.com , Last Minute.com, Theatre People.com and UK Tickets.co.uk .
