Making its UK debut at the Royal Albert Hall from the 7th January 2018, Cirque du Soleil has confirmed that due to high demand, its show OVO wil now play in London until the 4th March 2018.

Comprised of fifty performing artists from 17 countries specialising in many acrobatic acts, OVO is a show that celebrates nature and co-existence.

A colourful carnival of crazy crickets, amazing ants and flexible fleas, OVO uncovers the natural world at our feet. Rush headlong into an ecosystem teeming with life, where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and love.

Crawling with fun, OVO is a non-stop riot of energy and movement featuring many of Cirque du Soleil’s mind-blowing signature acts including a stunning 14m high flying trapeze act – the biggest of its kind!

The cast includes Alanna Baker from Greater London who plays the role of the Black Spider in the show. Having trained at Heathrow, she was crowned gymnastics European Champion in 2011 and won Bronze in the World Championships in 2012. Alanna, who has been training since she was five years old has travelled around the world with OVO to countries as far reaching as Japan and Australia and is now set for a return to her home here in the UK.

OVO originally premiered in Montreal in 2009 and has gone on to be performed in front of five million people worldwide.

The creative team involved with the production includes: Artistic Guides Guy Laliberté and Gilles Ste-Croix; Writer, Director and Choreographer Deborah Colker (first female director at Cirque du Soleil); Director of Creation Chantal Tremblay; Set and props Designer Gringo Cardia; Costume Designer Liz Vandal; Composer and Musical Director Berna Ceppas; Lighting Designer Éric Champoux; Sound Designer Jonathan Deans and for the first time at Cirque du Soleil: Rigging and Acrobatic Equipment Designer Fred Gérard; Acrobatic Performance Designer Philippe Aubertin; and Makeup Designer Julie Bégin.

OVO will play at the Royal Albert Hall from the 7th January until the 4th March. To book tickets visit: http://lovelondonloveculture.entstix.com/tickets/ovo-cirque-du-soleil
